About Rescue Legacy: Hello, we are Greg Potter and Joy Gaston. We have created an on-line forum and resource promoting animal adoptions that last a lifetime. One might think that this is a no-brainer. However, there are still millions of innocent, loving animals surrendered to shelters each year, often for the flimsiest of reasons. Through education and experience-sharing, we strive to instill a heightened sense of responsibility among current and prospective pet parents. Our blogs recognize our pets as spiritual teachers, physical healers and loving companions while respecting them as sovereign beings. Our writings also explore the challenges of having a pet in the family and provide practical support toward resolving issues to ensure a forever bond. With love and commitment, pets and their humans can bring the best out of each other. We believe that pets are family - forever. Because pets are family, we believe that pets deserve the best care we can manage. Toward that end, we have developed an on-line marketplace that offers the highest-quality products and services benefiting both person and animal companion. Our goal is to build an aware and active community of human-pet families and give back to grass-roots animal advocacy groups fighting to improve shelter conditions, preserve the dignity of aging and special-needs pets and keep low-income families and their pets together.
Greg Potter is a fervent advocate of responsible pet parenting. Professionally, Greg is a speech-language pathologist who proudly serves our nation's veterans in the medical setting. Greg combines his passion for language processing and expression with a drive to better communicate with his fur-child. He has previously worked as a journalist, artist and location scout. Greg lives with his wife, Susan, and their rescued Boston terrier, Lilly, in Encino, California.
